Overview
Chronweave is a browser-based AI story studio. The product sells access to API credits, subscription features, optional cloud sync, and AI image generation credits.
Local-first story data
Story sessions, world notes, branches, and character records are stored in your browser by default. We do not require cloud storage for ordinary story play.
Account data
When you create an account, we store account identifiers such as email address, display name, language preference, authentication records, and subscription or credit balances.
Cloud sync
If you choose to use cloud sync, selected story bundles are uploaded so they can be restored on another device. Cloud sync is optional and can be limited by your plan.
Payments
Payments are processed by external payment providers. Chronweave stores order status, purchased product id, credit ledger entries, and payment event metadata needed to provide access.
AI providers
Story generation and image generation may send the required prompt context to model providers or upstream infrastructure. We minimize context to what is needed for the requested feature.
